MetLife to offer insurance coverage for AKS Khan Pharmaceuticals employees

AKS Khan Pharmaceuticals Limited, one of Bangladesh's leading business enterprises, has signed an agreement with MetLife to provide insurance coverage for its employees.

Under the agreement, employees of AKS Khan Pharmaceuticals will be financially protected in the event of a serious illness, accident, disability, or death. MetLife was chosen for its track record of consistent success in claims settlement, customised insurance services, state-of-the-art dashboards, cashless outpatient and ambulance services, and the ability to ensure quick claims payment and hassle-free claim settlement processes.

AKS Khan Pharmaceuticals operates in two divisions: AKS Pharmacy and AKS Diagnostic. Both divisions work in tandem to offer uninterrupted service and an exceptional customer experience. Since 2018, AKS Pharmacy has improved community healthcare through rapid and specialised services.

MetLife has been providing insurance coverage to over 300,000 individuals and their dependents across more than 900 organisations in Bangladesh. In 2024, MetLife Bangladesh settled insurance claims worth over BDT 2,895 crore.

The agreement was signed at the AKS Khan Pharmaceuticals office, with Managing Director Samnazar Shama Khan representing AKS Khan Pharmaceuticals, and Assistant Managing Director and Chief Human Resources Officer Touhidul Alam representing MetLife Bangladesh.
