ACC chairman urges govt officials to be more committed to combating institutional corruption

Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman Mohammad Moinuddin Abdullah today (20 April) called on government officials to demonstrate greater sincerity in preventing institutional corruption.
"The needs of the government service recipients must be prioritised. Every project must be Bangladesh-friendly, not contractor-friendly," he said while speaking as the chief guest at the ACC's 172nd public hearing held at the District Shilpakala Academy auditorium in Nilphamari.
During the hearing, a total of 81 complaints against 31 different government departments were addressed.
Of these, five were officially recorded for further investigation, while 57 complaints were granted resolution.
The ACC also expressed dissatisfaction with the management of the 250-bed Nilphamari District Hospital, announcing an official investigation and an upcoming operation in response to public grievances.
