M Niaz Asadullah among 3 new members now on Nagad’s management board

The Bangladesh Bank restructured the management board of MFS provider Nagad Limited on (23 June).
The board has now been expanded from six to eight members.
Three new individuals have been appointed, while one member from the previous board has been removed.
According to a letter from Bangladesh Bank, the newly appointed members are Honorary Professorial Fellow at North South University M Niaz Asadullah; Barrister Tanim Hossain Shawon, advocate of the Bangladesh Supreme Court; and the individual serving the post of Joint Secretary (ex-officio) of Credit Management at the Finance Division.
Khondokar Shakhawat Ali, visiting research fellow at the BRAC Institute of Governance and Development, has been removed from the board.
Kaiser Ahmed Chowdhury, adviser at Millennium Bangla, will continue to serve as the chairman of Nagad.
Motasem Billah, director at the Bangladesh Bank, remains in his position as the Nagad administrator.
