Hridoy back on field after ban reduction
Initially suspended for arguing with umpire Sharfuddoula Ibne Shahid Saikat during a match against Abahani, Hridoy was also fined BDT 80,000 for breaching clauses 2.7 and 2.8 of the BCB Code of Conduct.

Towhid Hridoy has returned to action and reclaimed the captaincy for Mohammedan Sporting after his two-match ban was reduced following an official appeal.
Initially suspended for arguing with umpire Sharfuddoula Ibne Shahid Saikat during a match against Abahani, Hridoy was also fined BDT 80,000 for breaching clauses 2.7 and 2.8 of the BCB Code of Conduct.
The incident occurred while Mohammedan were fielding. Hridoy had expressed frustration over a decision made by umpire Tanvir, which escalated into a heated exchange with Sharfuddoula when he approached to speak with the captain. Hridoy also commented on the matter after the match, which led to disciplinary action.
As a result, he was handed a two-match suspension and missed the first game of the Super League, where Rony Talukdar stepped in as acting captain. However, Mohammedan filed an appeal to have the punishment reduced. The match referee held a meeting on 19 April, during which four demerit points were removed from Hridoy's disciplinary record, reducing his suspension by one match.
With one game still remaining on his original ban, Hridoy was cleared to return for Mohammedan's second Super League fixture against Agrani Bank on 20 April. Upon his return, he immediately resumed captaincy duties.
