Machete-wielding robbers attack woman in Shewrapara

A woman was robbed at machete-point near East West International School and College in Shewrapara early Thursday.
Mirpur Division Deputy Commissioner Maqsud Ur Rahman confirmed the incident, stating, "The robbers have been identified. A case has been filed, and arrests are underway."
How It Happened
- A viral video shows the victim and a companion in a rickshaw being blocked by three men on a motorcycle.
- One robber, wearing a white shirt, brandished a machete and snatched the woman's vanity bag.
- Another, in a black shirt, stole her gold chain and a second bag.
- After regrouping, the robbers threw back the black bag when confronted by the male companion.
- A security guard intervened with a stick but failed to stop their escape.
Authorities are investigating the brazen daylight robbery.
