Anti-Discrimination Student Movement calls meeting with student bodies to go over inter-institutional conflicts

The Anti-Discrimination Student Movement has called for an urgent meeting with the student bodies that participated in the July-August mass uprising to address the ongoing inter-institutional conflicts.

The meeting is expected to be held this evening at 7pm, per the decision of the platform's executive committee.

"The people of the country will soon see a wonderful solution through the united efforts of all student organisations," Abdul Hannan Masood, chief organiser of the student movement, said in a statement today (25 November).

The message comes against the backdrop of recent clashes that ensued between students of various institutions in the country.

Last night, students of the Polytechnic Institute's Latif Hall allegedly got into an argument over the entry of a suspected Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activist into the Aziz Hall of Butex, which led to a clash injuring dozens.

Earlier today, so far 25 were injured amid clashes between students of Dr Mahbubur Rahman Mollah College, Kabi Nazrul Government College and Government Shaheed Suhrawardy College.
