NBR extends VAT return deadline to 29 March
According to an official notification issued today (15 March), the new submission deadline has been set for 29 March
The National Revenue Board (NBR) has extended the deadline for submitting online Value Added Tax (VAT) returns for the tax period of February 2026 by a week.
According to an official notification issued today (15 March), the new submission deadline has been set for 29 March.
According to the notification, the decision was made in the public interest, taking into account the government holidays scheduled for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr and Independence Day celebrations.
NBR stated that the extension also aims to accommodate taxpayers facing difficulties due to the slow performance of the e-VAT system service.
The board exercised its authority under Sub-section (1a) of Section 64 of the Value Added Tax and Supplementary Duty Act, 2012, to grant this additional time.
