CA Yunus, Pak PM Sharif hold meeting on UNGA sidelines
Yunus has held a series of meetings with the leaders of multiple countries and international organisations since he arrived in New York last Monday.

Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus has held a meeting with Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 80th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) at the UN Headquarters in New York on Wednesday (24 September), according to a post shared on the Chief Adviser GOB page on Facebook early today (25 September).
The issues discussed at the meeting were not disclosed.
Yunus has held a series of meetings with the leaders of multiple countries and international organisations on the sidelines of the UNGA since he arrived in New York last Monday.
He is scheduled to deliver his speech at the UNGA on 26 September, during which he is expected to convey Bangladesh's commitment to holding a free, fair, peaceful, and credible election in the first half of February next year.
Yunus engaged extensively with global leaders through diverse meetings, highlighting Bangladesh's vision for inclusive growth, sustainable development and global solidarity.
He attended the opening segment of an event, titled "First Biennial Summit for a Sustainable, Inclusive and Resilient Global Economy: Implementing Commitments on Financing the Sustainable Development Goals", at the UN headquarters on Wednesday.
The chief adviser also held meetings with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and President of Finland Alexander Stubb on the sidelines of the UNGA.
Then he attended a high-level working session, titled "Transforming Primary Healthcare-Bangladesh's Blueprint", on the sidelines.
Earlier, the chief adviser invited US President Donald Trump to visit Bangladesh at a convenient time during a reception hosted by the latter in New York on Tuesday.
Yunus attended the event at the invitation of Trump, who addressed the UNGA on Tuesday.
At the reception, the chief adviser also exchanged pleasantries with UN Secretary General António Guterres and several world leaders, including King Felipe VI of Spain, Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, and Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay.
Yunus also met US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and US Special Envoy for South and Central Asia Sergio Gor, according to the Chief Adviser's Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder.
