In this era of technological advancement, industries are heavily reliant on machineries. The textile and garments industry is no different. But in some places of Bangladesh, they still follow the traditional method of dyeing textile materials such as yarn and fabrics.
In this process, yarn and fabrics are dyed manually and dried in open places. It usually takes up to six hours to dry them in the sun. As the materials are laid out under the sun, it creates a unique, colourful scene.
I recently visited some places in Narayanganj and Narsingdi to capture the beauty of it. There were patches of beautiful colours everywhere. From a bird's eye view, it looked like a painter's palette.

In Narayanganj, a village called Batik village is well-known for this traditional textile industry. There are some factories in Narsingdi and others places too, but as the demand for handmade textile declines, there will be less and less of such factories in the coming days.
