Shaheed Ramiz Uddin Cantonment College crowned champion at NUB's business idea competition

The grand finale of the "Business Idea Competition – College Level 2025" concluded in a festive atmosphere today (10 May) at the permanent campus of Northern University Bangladesh (NUB).
The event, hosted by the university's Department of Business Administration, saw the active participation of 20 colleges from across the country, reads a press release.
The competition created significant excitement among students and generated widespread engagement on social media platforms. It provided a dynamic platform for college students to present their innovative business ideas and showcase their entrepreneurial potential.
Shaheed Ramiz Uddin Cantonment College emerged as the champion in the final round, while Afazuddin Memorial College and Harun Mollah Degree College secured the first and second runner-up positions, respectively.
The prize-giving ceremony was graced by Professor Engr Md Mustafizur Rahman, the Vice-Chancellor of NUB, who handed over crests, certificates, and cash prizes to the winners.
Also present at the event were Professor Lt Col (retd) Sardar Mahmud Hossain, pro-vice chancellor, and Commander (retd) Md Mostafa Shahid, registrar of NUB.
The programme was conducted by Md Abdul Kader, Coordinator of the BBA Program and one of the key organisers of the event.
Organisers stated that the competition successfully encouraged innovation, entrepreneurial thinking, and real-world problem-solving among college students, marking it as a stepping stone for future changemakers.
