The four-day exhibition was inaugurated by the chief adviser under the theme "Taking Bangladesh to the World." The event, one of the country's largest technology showcases, brought together policymakers, industry leaders, innovators, and international tech brands to highlight Bangladesh's achievements, innovation, and future potential in the ICT sector.
At the expo, Samsung displayed its latest integrated smartphones and tablets, offering special discounts of up to Tk70,000 on modern devices, attracting tech enthusiasts and visitors on the opening day.
Mohammad Masudul Haq Bhuiya, director and head of business of Samsung Electronics Bangladesh's MX Division, said, "DDIE 2026 provides a strong platform to demonstrate the role of technology in shaping Bangladesh's future. We are proud to support such an initiative as a platinum sponsor. This event reflects our goals in innovation, inclusion, and digital empowerment. We believe Bangladesh can make significant strides in the global technology arena, and Samsung will continue to support this journey as a long-term partner."
Organised jointly by the ICT Division, Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority, and Bangladesh Computer Society (BCS), the expo is expected to attract around 300,000 visitors over the next three days.
