Bangladesh Agriculture Reporters' Forum launches Agriculture Journalism Award 2025

The Bangladesh Agriculture Reporters' Forum (BARF) has introduced the 'BARF Media Award 2025' to promote quality journalism in the agriculture sector.
The decision was made at a recent executive committee meeting held at Khamarbari, the organisation said in a press release today (3 December), signed by its Office Secretary Faruq Ahmad Arif.
According to the release, five journalists will be honoured with the BARF Media Award 2025. BARF has invited agriculture-related reports from journalists working in national and local newspapers, online portals, and television channels across the country.

Reports published or aired between 1 December 2024 and 30 November 2025 will be evaluated by an independent panel of judges to select the winners.
The award ceremony will feature senior government advisers, distinguished sector experts and political leaders. Each winner will receive Tk30,000 in cash, along with a crest and certificate of honour.
The deadline for submitting reports is 20 December 2025.
