City Bank has reported a strong financial performance for the first nine months of this year, with its consolidated net profit jumping by 60% year-on-year to Tk720 crore.

In the same period last year, the bank's consolidated profit stood at Tk450 crore, according to a statement from the bank on Tuesday (28 October).

The bank's consolidated earnings per share (EPS) reached Tk4.75 at the end of September this year.

During the July–September quarter alone, City Bank's consolidated net profit jumped by an impressive 109% to Tk420 crore compared to the same quarter a year earlier.
