Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, the prominent chairman of the Pran-RFL Group, has been elected as the new chairman of Midland Bank. 

The announcement was made public through a disclosure on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Sunday.

According to the bank's latest shareholding report, Ahsan Khan Chowdhury holds 4.45% of the bank's shares, equivalent to 2.84 crore shares.
