Midland Bank holds 12th annual general meeting

The 12th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Midland Bank PLC (MDB) was held on June 4, 2025, via a hybrid system, with physical attendance by shareholders at the B.N. Sagorika Hall, Naval Headquarters, Dhaka. 

Honourable Chairman of the Bank, Mr Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, presided over the AGM. Mr Rezaul Karim, Chairman of the Executive Committee, Mohammad Asif-uz-Zaman, Chairman of the Audit Committee, and Dr Mostafizur Rahman, Chairman of the Risk Management Committee of the Board of Directors of the Bank, were present at the Annual General Meeting (AGM).  
A large number of general and institutional Shareholders attended the AGM in person alongside those who participated via the digital AGM platform. Directors, including Independent Directors, Sponsors, Auditors and Independent Scrutinizers, participated in the AGM. Mr Ahsan-uz Zaman, Managing Director and CEO, Mr Zahid Hossain, DMD, Mr Khalid Mohammad Sharif, FCS, Company Secretary, and Didarul Islam, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Bank, were also present at the meeting.

At the AGM, shareholders approved a 3% cash dividend and a 3% stock dividend for the year 2024. The Financial Statement as of December 31, 2024, was adopted in the meeting, along with other relevant agenda items.
