Agreement of Orion’s two power plants to be expired in 2021

Two subsidiary power companies of Orion Pharma will expire their power purchase agreement with the Bangladesh Power Development Board in 2021.

 According to the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) website, Orion Pharma has informed that Orion Power Meghnaghat Limited's power purchase contract will expire in May 2021 and Dutch Bangla Power & Associates Limited's agreement will expire in July 2021.

The company has also informed that they have applied to the government to extend the contract period for supplying electricity for another five years and the contract renewal of both power plants are under process.
