RMG workers block Dhaka-Tangail highway for dues

Traffic movement on Dhaka-Tangail highway remained suspended for about half an hour today (13 March) as the workers of a ready-made garment (RMG) factory blocked the highway demanding payment of their dues.
Nazrul Islam, officer-in-charge of Konabari Police Station, said the workers of Swadhin Garment staged demonstration inside the factory demanding to clear their dues.
Later they took to the highway around 11:00am near Konabari flyover, halting traffic movement.

On information, police rushed to the spot and assured clearance of their dues.
Getting assurance, the workers withdrew their blockade around 11:30am.
