Eurozone Fashion workers block Rampura-Kuril road over unpaid wages, causing major traffic chaos
The protesters left the road round 3:50pm after assurance from owners to pay the workers’ overdue wages.

Approximately 500–600 workers from Eurozone Fashion Ltd blocked the Rampura-Kuril road this noon (3 September) in protest over their unpaid wages, halting all vehicular movement in the region on both sides of the carriageway, causing severe disruption for commuters.
Ziaur Rahman, additional deputy commissioner (ADC) of Gulshan Traffic Division, said the protesters left the road round 3:50pm after assurance from owners to pay the workers' overdue wages.
The blockade had completely gridlocked traffic on the Uttara-Badda-Rampura route, leaving passengers stranded. Police were on site attempting to mediate the situation and facilitate a resolution between the workers and the factory management.

The Gulshan Traffic Division issued an advisory on social media, urging the public to use the following alternative routes:
1. Vehicles from Khilkhet can travel under the flyover to bypass the protest area and head towards Mohakhali and Banani.
2. Traffic from Rampura destined for Kuril is advised to take the Badda Link Road and pass through Gulshan-1 and Gulshan-2 to reach Uttara.
3. An additional alternative for drivers coming from Rampura is to go via Natun Bazar and Gulshan-2 towards Uttara. For those heading to Rampura, the police have suggested using the Mohakhali-Kakoli or Tejgaon routes.
