ULAB nutrition olympiad 2025 crowns team nutricycle as champion

The grand finale of the ULAB Nutrition Olympiad 2025, presented by Ruslan's Studio, showcased the transformative power of youth-driven innovation to advance nutrition and wellness in Bangladesh.
The event united young talents, esteemed judges, industry leaders, and guests in celebration of creative approaches and a shared commitment to public health.
Team NutriCycle won the championship and a Tk 15,000 prize. Team BiteBright was first runner-up (Tk 10,000) and Team NutriCore second runner-up (Tk 5,000).
Shazia Omar, founder and CEO of Dhaka Flow, attended as the chief guest. A novelist, social psychologist, and wellness advocate, she has played a key role in promoting mindfulness and sustainable lifestyles in Bangladesh. Her presence highlighted the intersection of wellness, innovation, and youth-led inspiration.
The judging panel included Md Shiyan Sadik, lecturer at North South University; Tanvir Hasan Britto, ACE-certified personal trainer and ICF-accredited life coach; Nayma Hasan Diana, founder and coach of Nayma Hasan Health and Lifestyle Coaching; and Shabbir Ahammed, assistant professor at the State University of Bangladesh. Their combined expertise ensured a diverse and rigorous evaluation process.
The Olympiad began with hundreds of participants in the preliminary rounds before progressing through project development, where mentorship transformed raw ideas into actionable solutions. The finale featured six top teams competing for the title with their youth-driven innovations in nutrition.
Special recognition was given to Naima Khatun, lecturer at the ULAB School of Business and advisor to the Olympiad, for her guidance and support throughout the event.
Ruslan's Studio was the gold sponsor, with Bangas Limited as the bronze sponsor. The event was also supported by Dacca Delights, RD, Cater Station by Sharmin, Signature Cake, TBS Graduates, and multiple media partners, who ensured wide coverage of the Olympiad.
The finale concluded with heartfelt appreciation for the organising team, whose vision and dedication made the Olympiad a powerful platform for youth innovation and a catalyst for a healthier Bangladesh.
