UIU concludes research and innovation week 2025

United International University (UIU) has concluded its flagship Research and Innovation (R&I) Week 2025, a four-day programme aimed at strengthening collaboration between academia and industry.
The event brought together leading academics, industry professionals, and students to exchange knowledge, present research, and explore innovations with real-world impact.
Professor Dr Hasan Sarwar, Dean of the School of Science and Engineering, opened the week, which featured keynote speeches, panel discussions, research presentations, and a student poster competition.
Discussions covered key areas, including cybersecurity, semiconductor innovation, digital healthcare, AI-driven storytelling, sustainable technologies, business skills, education research, the media's role in achieving the SDGs, humanitarian management, and biotechnology.
Industry partners included Cefalo Bangladesh, Ulkasemi, Berger Paints Bangladesh, ACME Laboratories, Incepta Pharmaceuticals, Sajida Foundation, Eskimi, Bengal Meat, Inspira Advisory, Grameen Digital Healthcare, and ICDDRB.
At the closing ceremony, Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Mazid, Vice Chancellor of Jashore University of Science and Technology, presented the Scientific Poster Presentation Awards to the top student teams.
Faculty leaders emphasised that UIU provides a platform where ideas meet execution and students gain valuable exposure to industry and society.
