UCBD signs mou with bdtask on IT training
Universal College Bangladesh has signed a strategic agreement with global software firm Bdtask to enhance students' career readiness and industry exposure through structured training, mentorship, and hands-on experience in the information technology sector.
The agreement was signed recently at a ceremony held at the UCBD campus in Gulshan, Dhaka. Kingshuk Gupta, Chief Operating Officer of Universal College Bangladesh, and Sumch Mohammad Tarek, Managing Director of Bdtask, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Under the agreement, UCBD students will gain access to internship placements within live IT projects, job placement support upon programme completion, and professional training aligned with current industry standards.
The partnership also includes knowledge-sharing sessions led by industry practitioners, and hands-on exposure to real-world software development environments. These initiatives are designed to ensure students develop practical competencies that complement their academic qualifications, thereby enhancing their competitiveness in the job market.
"By connecting our students directly with organisations like Bdtask, we are creating tangible pathways from classroom to career," said Kingshuk Gupta, Chief Operating Officer of Universal College Bangladesh. "Many capable graduates struggle in their first jobs due to a lack of practical experience. This partnership will address that gap by ensuring our students graduate with hands-on project experience, an understanding of workplace dynamics, and established professional networks."
Sumch Mohammad Tarek, Managing Director of Bdtask, highlighted the mutual benefits of the collaboration. "We recognise the importance of nurturing talent early in the education pipeline," he said. "This partnership allows us to engage with students during their formative professional years, while contributing to the development of Bangladesh's growing technology workforce."
The collaboration is also expected to deliver broader value to key stakeholders. Students will benefit from access to real-world IT experience and future-ready career pathways, while parents will gain greater assurance that educational investments are closely aligned with employment outcomes. For industry and academia, the agreement creates opportunities for joint initiatives that support the continued growth of Bangladesh's education and technology ecosystem.
