Trust Bank, sheba.xyz sign mou to launch digital nano loan facility
Trust Bank PLC has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the digital fintech platform Sheba.xyz to promote digital financial inclusion in Bangladesh through the introduction of a digital nano loan facility.
The agreement was signed on 3 February 2026 at Trust Bank's head office in Dhaka by Ahsan Zaman Chowdhury, Managing Director and CEO of Trust Bank PLC, and Ilmul Haque, Managing Director of Sheba Fintech Limited, on behalf of their respective organisations.
Under the partnership, micro and small entrepreneurs will be able to access collateral-free nano loans through a fully digital process featuring simplified applications, electronic know your customer (e-KYC), quick approvals, and seamless disbursement and repayment through digital wallets. The initiative aims to improve access to formal finance, strengthen cash flow management, and support the growth of small businesses nationwide.
According to Trust Bank, the digital nano loan facility will be offered to registered users of the Sheba Pay platform. Under the arrangement, Trust Bank will act as the lending partner, while Sheba Fintech will serve as the technology and service provider.
Senior officials from both organisations attended the signing ceremony. The parties said they expect the collaboration to help expand digital lending services and advance financial inclusion in Bangladesh.
