Southeast University hosts study abroad seminar
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, the Center for Cyber Security, and the IEEE Computer Society SEU Student Branch Chapter at Southeast University organised a seminar titled "Global IT Careers and Study Abroad Opportunities" on 30 March, 2026 at Shaheed Rakib Hall.
The event drew participation from students and faculty members.
The keynote session was delivered by Prof Dr Touhid Bhuiyan, assistant director of IT and lead faculty for MSIT at Washington University of Science and Technology in the United States.
He shared insights into global IT career pathways, higher education opportunities abroad and the skills needed to succeed in the international job market.
Among those present were Prof Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, PhD, vice-chancellor of Southeast University; Prof Dr Md Mofazzal Hossain, pro-vice-chancellor; Prof Dr Abdul Kadar Muhammad Masum, director of IQAC; Prof Dr Dewan Md Farid, dean of the School of Engineering; Shahriar Manzoor, chairman of the Department of CSE; Dr Md Maruf Hassan, director of CCS; and Dr Mohammed Ashikur Rahman, chairman of the Department of ICT, along with other faculty members.
The organisers thanked the advisers, faculty members, executive and sub-executive committees, and volunteers for their support in arranging the seminar.
