Standard Chartered, ICAB launch Priority Banking benefits for chartered accountants
Standard Chartered Bangladesh has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) to introduce an exclusive Priority Banking proposition for eligible ICAB members.
Under the partnership, eligible chartered accountants will have access to preferential banking and financing solutions, including savings on ICAB membership and practitioner fees, cashback and fee waivers on selected products, lifestyle and travel privileges, and complimentary supplementary debit cards, according to the press release.
Eligible ICAB members will also have access to Standard Chartered's broader Priority Banking proposition, including dedicated relationship manager support, bancassurance solutions and Islamic banking services through Standard Chartered Saadiq.
Standard Chartered Bangladesh Chief Executive Officer Enamul Huque said chartered accountants play an important role in strengthening governance, transparency and sustainable economic growth.
"For 121 years, Standard Chartered has been a trusted partner of Bangladesh with a purpose to drive commerce and prosperity through its unique diversity," Huque said.
"Chartered Accountants are an esteemed group of professionals who play a critical role in ensuring good governance and transparency and in safeguarding the business and policy framework; not only in Bangladesh, but across the world."
"Our partnership with ICAB recognises this important contribution. Through this proposition, we aim to offer them convenience, meaningful value and a tailored banking experience in managing their personal finances," he added.
ICAB President Sabbir Ahmed FCA said, "Delivering value to our members remains an important priority for ICAB."
"We welcome this collaboration with Standard Chartered, which brings together benefits that address both the professional and personal financial needs of Chartered Accountants."
"The banking and financing benefits will help members manage their financial priorities with greater flexibility. We look forward to our members benefiting from this partnership and making full use of the proposition," he added.
Enamul Huque and Sabbir Ahmed FCA signed the MoU on behalf of Standard Chartered Bangladesh and ICAB, respectively.
Senior representatives from both organisations also attended the signing ceremony.
Standard Chartered said the proposal was designed to recognise the contribution of chartered accountants to governance, transparency, and economic activity, while providing financial and lifestyle benefits tailored to their professional community.
