Southeast University hosts workshop on academic supply chain management and student employability
Southeast University successfully organised a workshop titled "Academic Supply Chain Management and Its Effect on Student Employability", bringing together distinguished academicians to examine the link between education, supply chain management, and graduate employability.
The programme was facilitated by Professor Shams Rahman, Ph.D., Vice-Chancellor of East West University and a noted supply chain management expert. He highlighted how academic approaches to supply chain systems can directly influence students' employability in an increasingly competitive job market.
The workshop was chaired by Professor Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, Ph.D., Vice-Chancellor of Southeast University, who emphasised the importance of aligning academic curricula with industry needs to enhance students' career readiness and professional skills.
Facilitators and participants underlined the necessity for universities to adopt innovative teaching methods and develop industry-relevant programmes to bridge the gap between academic learning and workplace requirements.
