Sonali Life approves 15% cash dividend at AGM
At its 13th annual general meeting, Sonali Life PLC shareholders approved a 15% cash dividend for the 2025 financial year.
The meeting was held on 26 August at the company's conference room at 68/B DIT Road in Malibagh, Dhaka, according to a press release. Shareholders were invited to attend.
Shareholders also approved the audited financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2025, along with the reports of the directors and auditors.
They approved the appointment of the company's statutory auditors and compliance auditors for 2026.
Sonali Life Chairman Moinul Islam presided over the meeting.
Directors Zafar Iqbal, NDC, Fazlutunnesa, Mostafa Quamrus Sobhan, Fauzia Quamrun Tania, Sheikh Mohammad Danial, and Omar Khayum attended the AGM.
Additional Managing Director and CEO (Acting) Md Rafiqul Islam, Chief Operating Officer Md Monzur Morshed, HIAC Md Ali Reza, CIO Hasib Reza, and other senior officials were also present alongside shareholders.
Company Secretary Md Abdur Rob, FCS, conducted the proceedings.
Moinul thanked shareholders for their continued confidence and support. He reaffirmed the company's commitment to sustainable growth, sound financial management, regulatory compliance and corporate governance.
Shareholders expressed appreciation to the board and management for their efforts to improve operational performance, protect policyholders' interests and support the development of Bangladesh's insurance sector.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to shareholders, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders.
