Seminar on 'Awarenesses about Risk Management in Banks' held at Agrani Bank

A seminar titled 'Awarenesses about Risk Management in Banks' was held on 08 February  2025 at Agrani Bank Training Institute, Dhaka.

The Honourable Chairman of Agrani Bank plc, Syed Abu Naser Bukhtear Ahmed, graced the event as Chief Guest. Under the chairmanship of the CEO of Agrani Bank plc, Mr Anwarul Islam, one of the board members, and Mr Mujaffor Ahmed, director of Agrani Bank plc, delivered the keynote presentation. All members of the Agrani Bank board, DMDs, and GMs were presented in the seminar.

Highlighting the profound importance of Risk Management in the Banking sector's day-to-day functions, the keynote speaker pointed out the existing practices of the bank as a whole and the practices followed by Agrani Bank precisely.

Some of the critical issues, such as economic capital and its measurement, Balance sheet management, capital adequacy as per Bangladesh Bank guidelines, External Credit Assessment, Capital Buffers, and the Role of different tiers of management officials in Risk Management, were presented extensively with lifetime examples.

An intensive question-and-answer session occurred, during which the Honourable Chairman and the learned presenter gave prudent feedback.
