Rony wins Men’s National Division at Victory Day squash
Rony emerged as champion of the Men's National Division Championship after defeating Shahadat of the Bangladesh Army in the final of the Aqua Paints and Elite Steel 4th Victory Day Squash Tournament, held at the newly inaugurated squash courts of Bashundhara Sports City.
The tournament was held from 21 to 24 December, with the final and closing ceremony taking place at 3:30pm on 25 December, drawing players, officials, and sports enthusiasts from across the country.
President of the Bangladesh Football Federation, Tabith Awal, attended the final as chief guest, while General Secretary of the Bangladesh Squash Federation, Brigadier General Quamrul, hosted the event.

The tournament was sponsored by Aqua Paints and Elite Steel, represented by Group Director, Shayaan Seraj. Speaking at the closing ceremony, he highlighted the group's long-standing involvement in sports and its commitment to promoting athletic development in Bangladesh.
He stated that sports such as squash help develop mental strength, discipline, focus, and resilience among young people—qualities that play an important role beyond the court.
Held to mark Victory Day, the tournament reflected the growing momentum of squash in Bangladesh, and the continued role of the private sector in supporting sports development.
