He will be staying at house number 196, next to Khaleda's residence 'Firoza'
BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman arrived at his residence in Gulshan tonight (25 December), marking his return home after more than 17 years.
The convoy carrying Tarique reached Gulshan Avenue in front of house number 196 around 8:30pm, BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan said in a statement.
He entered the house, accompanied by his wife Dr Zubaida Rahman and their daughter Zaima Rahman.
The residence at Gulshan Avenue, house number 196, had been prepared in advance for the BNP leader and will be his place of stay.
The house is located next to 'Firoza', the long-time residence of Tarique's mother Khaleda Zia, BNP chairperson and former prime minister.
Earlier in the evening, at around 7:30pm, Tarique left Evercare Hospital after visiting his ailing mother. He had entered Khaleda Zia's cabin around 6pm along with his wife and daughter.
Tarique, along with his wife and daughter, landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in Dhaka at 11:40am today after more than 17 years in exile in London.
He then addressed a reception rally on 300 Feet Road in Purbachal, attended by thousands of supporters and BNP leaders and activists, before vising his mother at Evercare.
