Realme C85 Pro debuts in Bangladesh with IP69 Pro rating
Realme, the youth-focused smartphone brand, has launched its most water-resistant device to date — the C85 Pro — in the Bangladesh market.
The model is the first in realme's C-series to feature the industry-leading IP69 Pro rating, and the wider C85 series has also earned a Guinness World Records title for 'Most People Performing a Mobile Phone Water-Resistance Test Simultaneously'.
The record-setting event was held at the Cilandak Sports Center in Jakarta, Indonesia, where 280 participants submerged their C85 series phones in a coordinated sequence. Each device remained underwater for two minutes before being lifted simultaneously, with all units fully functional during the official adjudication.
At the centre of this milestone is realme's new IP69 Pro water-resistance technology — the brand's most advanced protection system to date. The C85 series surpasses four top-tier standards: IP69K, IP69, IP68 and IP66. Tests showed the devices could withstand 30 minutes underwater at a depth of 6 metres and up to 60 days at 0.5 metres, with no functional impact. Paired with a 7,000mAh Titan battery, the waterproofing significantly strengthens overall durability.
Following the Guinness World Records achievement, realme said the C85 series reflects its commitment to delivering robust, high-quality smartphones that can withstand real-world conditions, offering young users a combination of advanced technology and reliable, everyday performance.
