Prime Bank launches Braille Books on Financial Literacy

Prime Bank PLC. as part of its financial literacy initiatives, has published books on Consumer and SME Banking basics in braille.
This is the first of its kind initiative by any bank in Bangladesh. The braille books will be free of cost at all public libraries and specialised schools for the visually impaired across the country. Prime Bank will deliver them in phases everywhere.
This initiative reinforces the bank's commitment to ensuring equal access to banking for all segments of society.The books will also be available as Audiobooks with a Sign Language interpreter through Prime Bank's YouTube channel, also at primebankofficial.
The initiative was marked recently by a ceremony at the premises of Bangladesh Bank, where Hassan O. Rashid, Chief Executive Officer of Prime Bank, formally handed over the braille books on financial literacy for Consumer and SME banking, to Dr Habibur Rahman, Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank. Rup Ratan Pine, Executive Director; Abeda Rahim, Additional Director; Golam Sarowar, Joint Director; Md. Shamim Al Mamun, Deputy Director; Mohammad Yousuf Ali, Assistant Director of Bangladesh Bank and M. Nazeem A. Choudhury, Deputy Managing Director; Shaila Abedin, Head of Liabilities of Prime Bank PLC. and other senior officials from both organisations were present at the event.
On the occasion, Hassan O. Rashid, Chief Executive Officer of Prime Bank PLC, stated, "At Prime Bank, we firmly believe that financial services should be accessible to everyone. This initiative aims to empower the specially abled community by providing the necessary tools to navigate the banking system easily."
