Bangladesh Coast Guard conducts free medical camp and awareness programme

Bangladesh Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Haq announced this evening that Coast Guard Base Bhola successfully conducted a free medical camp earlier today.
The camp occurred from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the BCG Outpost Tajumuddin in Dalalkandi, under Tajumuddin Upazila of Bhola district. During the programme, 360 underprivileged, disadvantaged, and vulnerable individuals, including children, received free medical consultations and essential medicines.
The initiative was led by Senior Medical Officer Surgeon Lieutenant Commander Md Matiur Rahman (MPH, AMC) and Medical Officer Surgeon Lieutenant Commander Jesmin Akter, AMC.
In addition to the medical services, an awareness session was held for local fishermen. The session covered topics such as the prevention of smallpox, the prohibition of illegal fishing practices, measures against drug and human trafficking, the protection of forest resources, and the safety of lives and property on waterways.
Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Haq further stated that the Bangladesh Coast Guard remains committed to continuing such humanitarian and public welfare initiatives in the future.
