Rosatom to host Global Atomic Quiz on World Science Day
Russia's State Atomic Energy Corporation, Rosatom, will host the Global Atomic Quiz on Monday, 10 November, to mark World Science Day.
This year's edition will be held both online and offline, offering broader global participation. The quiz will be available in 16 languages, including Bangla, while offline competitions will be organised in several countries.
In Bangladesh, the offline event will take place at the Information Centre on Nuclear Energy (ICONE) at Novo Theatre in Dhaka and at the Public Information Centre on Nuclear Energy (PIC) in Ishwardi, where university students will compete alongside participants worldwide.
The 24-hour online quiz will feature 18 questions of varying difficulty across three themes — History, Today's Technology, and The Future. Participants can register on the project's website on 10 November, where practice tests are also available.
Results will be announced on 22 November. A total of 100 winners will receive exclusive prizes, while three top scorers will win a trip to Russia. All participants will receive electronic certificates.
Since its launch in 2020, the Global Atomic Quiz has drawn more than 65,000 participants from over 100 countries. The initiative aims to popularise nuclear science and demonstrate how atomic technologies contribute to modern life and environmental sustainability.
Rosatom's international network of 25 information centres continues to promote scientific literacy and inspire future careers in science, technology, and engineering.
