Presidency University shines at CEnovus 1.0 Civil Engineering Contest
The Department of Civil Engineering at Presidency University achieved commendable success at the "Jamelur Reza Chawdhury (JRC) Memorial Civil Engineering Contest: CEnovus 1.0," hosted by the University of Asia Pacific (UAP).
The national-level contest drew participation from some of the country's top engineering institutions, including BUET, KUET, RUET, DUET, Dhaka University, BSMRSTU, BAUET, North South University, AUST, East West University, DIU, BUBT, IUBAT, UITS, and UAP.
Amidst stiff competition, Presidency University secured third place in the AutoCAD Design Competition and second place in the Quiz Buzz event. Md Sultan Mahmud and Md Shohidul Islam claimed the second position in the Quiz Buzz segment, while Mosiur Rahman earned third place in AutoCAD Design, showcasing the students' sharp technical skills and academic rigour.
The event was graced by Dr M Shamim Zaman Basunia, a renowned figure in the field of civil engineering, who attended as the chief guest and encouraged students with his inspiring words.
Presidency University's achievement was guided by Md Mostafizur Rahman, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, and Lecturer Farzanul Islam Hemel, whose mentorship was instrumental in the students' preparation and success.
This achievement highlights the Civil Engineering Department's growing reputation for academic excellence and innovative learning in the national arena.
