PBIL, Zaytoon launch uthan boithok for rural investors

Prime Bank Investment PLC (PBIL), in partnership with Zaytoon Business Solutions, has launched a Uthan Boithok in Sirajdikhan, Munshiganj, to build investment awareness and empower local communities.
Launched in February 2025, the PBIL-Zaytoon alliance promotes financial inclusion by delivering practical investment knowledge to rural Bangladesh. Over 100 households attended the session on financial literacy, responsible investing, and fraud prevention.
Syed M Omar Tayub, managing director and CEO of PBIL, said: "Capital market access cannot be just for urban elites; it must reach everyone. With this initiative, we provide rural communities with the knowledge and tools to begin investing. Small savings lead to security, family well-being, and national growth."
Arfan Ali, chairman of Zaytoon, said: "Financial inclusion in rural areas requires bridging technology, awareness, and access. Our alliance with PBIL empowers communities to manage finances and join national progress."
Participants learned to grow small savings through investments, assess risk, and plan for future needs. PBIL made bank investment options understandable for grassroots investors.
This Uthan Boithok is the first of several events in rural Bangladesh. PBIL and Zaytoon are committed to promoting inclusive growth, protecting investors, and expanding capital market participation.
