ONE Bank appoints new deputy managing director
ONE Bank PLC has named Iftekhar Ahmed Zafar as Deputy Managing Director, expanding its senior leadership ranks with a seasoned industry expert.
In his expanded remit, Zafar will oversee the Bank's Transaction Banking and Investment Banking divisions, and will also serve as Chief Strategy Officer, according to a press release.
Zafar brings over 23 years' experience spanning corporate and institutional banking, financial markets, transaction banking and finance.

Prior to joining ONE Bank PLC, he held senior leadership roles at Standard Chartered Bank in Bangladesh and the UAE for more than two decades.
He specialises in structured products, derivatives, cash and trade services, financial risk management and strategic planning.
In his most recent role, Zafar contributed to one of Bangladesh's leading transaction banking franchises, driving product innovation, digital connectivity and multi-currency solutions.
He holds a BBA and MBA from the Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka.
He has also completed executive education at leading global institutions, including the Indian Institute of Management, INSEAD, and the Asian Institute of Technology.
