NSU architecture dept partners with archiconnect and friendship

On 1 September 2025, the Department of Architecture at North South University (NSU) formalised two key partnerships by signing Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with ARCHICONNECT and Friendship, aiming to boost student opportunities and advance architectural education.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury attended the event, led by Associate Professor and Chair of the Department, Ar Shahriar Iqbal Raj.
The MoU with ARCHICONNECT establishes a strategic collaboration to enhance skill development, build stronger industry–academic links, and improve student employability. This partnership is designed to advance architectural education while connecting students to professional growth opportunities.
ARCHICONNECT was represented by founder and CEO Ar Jalal Ahmed, along with senior team members.
The second MoU with Friendship Cultural Preservation (FCP) underscores a joint commitment to protecting Bangladesh's heritage by advancing cultural sustainability, research, and academic engagement. This partnership prepares future professionals for leadership in cultural preservation. Friendship was represented by Nazra Mahjabeen Sabet, Senior Director of Cultural Preservation, and other senior officials.
Professor Hannan Chowdhury highlighted how NSU leverages partnerships and alumni achievements to further the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, with quality education and mentorship at the forefront.
A job opportunity linking NSU students and alumni with global innovation ecosystems was also announced, reinforcing the practical benefits of these new partnerships.
The vice-chancellor thanked both partners and acknowledged Ar Shahriar Iqbal Raj's role in organising the event. Faculty and senior administrators also attended.
