Mercantile Bank, PKSF sign credit guarantee agreement
Mercantile Bank PLC has signed an agreement with Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) to provide financing to microenterprises under the Credit Enhancement Scheme.
Under the agreement, Mercantile Bank will extend loans to PKSF-enlisted partner organisations, with PKSF providing credit guarantee facilities to reduce lending risks.
The partnership aims to mobilise banking-sector funds for microenterprises and expand access to finance in rural, low-income and marginalised communities across Bangladesh.

Md Fazlul Kader, Managing Director of PKSF; Md Zakir Hossain, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Risk Officer of Mercantile Bank; and Farid Ahmed, Executive Vice President and Head of the bank's Gulshan Branch, attended the signing ceremony.
