JnU student Anamul Hasan receives Jalalabad Gold Award
Md Anamul Hasan Kawsar, a student of Jagannath University (JnU), has received the Jalalabad Gold Award for Academic Excellence in recognition of his academic achievements.
The award was presented at the Freshers' Reception, Academic Excellence Award and Farewell Ceremony 2026, organised by the Jalalabad Students' Welfare Association at Jagannath University on Thursday (23 July).
Professor Dr Md Rais Uddin, Vice-Chancellor of Jagannath University and Chief Adviser of the Jalalabad Students' Welfare Association, presented the award as chief guest.
Anamul secured first position in both his undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the university's Department of Theatre. He earned a CGPA of 3.85 in the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) programme and a perfect 4.00 in the Master of Arts programme.
He had earlier achieved GPA 5.00 in both the Secondary School Certificate and Higher Secondary Certificate examinations in the science stream.
"This recognition is a great honour for me. It inspires me to pursue excellence in education, research and my professional career with greater dedication," Anamul said.
"I sincerely thank my teachers, family and well-wishers for their continuous support," he added.
The ceremony was attended by Dr Ziaul Islam Munna, Assistant Private Secretary in the Personal Wing of former prime minister Begum Khaleda Zia; Professor Dr Sabina Sharmin, Treasurer of Jagannath University; advisers to the association; faculty members; students; and invited guests.
Anamul is currently pursuing an MPhil at the Department of Theatre, Jagannath University. He also serves as Team Lead for Public Relations and Communications at Conference and Exhibition Management Services (CEMS-Global).
