NRBC Bank holds Chattogram Zone town hall meeting
NRBC Bank organised a town hall meeting for its Chattogram Zone on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at a private hotel in the city.
Md Ali Hossain Pradhania, Chairman of NRBC Bank, attended the event as the chief guest. Also present was Independent Director Md Abul Bashar; Dr Touhidul Alam Khan, Managing Director and CEO; Harunur Rashid, Deputy Managing Director and CFO; Md Saiful Alam Chowdhury, Head of Chattogram Zone; and officials from all branches and sub-branches under the zone.
In his address, Chairman Md Ali Hossain Pradhania emphasised that a culture of strong corporate governance and compliance, paired with focused recovery of classified loans and prudent cost management, is vital for the bank's effectiveness and profitability.

He stated that improving the Advance–Deposit (AD) ratio through higher quality lending, preventing further loan classifications, and recovering written-off loans are central to raising the bank's regional income.
Independent Director Md Abul Bashar maintained that growing the volume of quality loans and complying strictly with regulatory and internal guidelines are essential to building a sustainable bank.
Managing Director and CEO Dr Touhidul Alam Khan identified Chattogram's strategic role in national trade, urging expansion of LC operations, offshore banking, and financing for local industries as key to boosting deposits and supporting economic development.
