NCC Bank unveils dual-currency Visa Business Debit Card
NCC Bank has officially launched its Visa Business Multicurrency Debit Card, a new financial solution designed to meet the evolving needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and start-up clients.
The card offers enhanced financial control, higher transaction limits, and real-time expense tracking. It operates internationally in dual currencies and features business name embossing, allowing companies to promote their brand identity through every transaction.
The launch ceremony was held at the bank's head office, attended by NCC Bank Managing Director M Shamsul Arefin, who inaugurated the product. The event was also attended by Nawshad Mustafa, Director of the SME and Special Programmes Department, and Mustafizur Rahman, Additional Director of Bangladesh Bank; Sabbir Ahmed, Country Manager of Visa – Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan; and Arifur Rahman, Director of Business Development, South Asia, Visa.
Senior officials from NCC Bank, including Additional Managing Director M Khurshed Alam; Deputy Managing Directors Md Zakir Anam, Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, Md Monirul Alam, and Md Habibur Rahman; and Head of SME and Agri Credit Sharif Mohammad Mahsin, were also present.
Speaking at the event, M Shamsul Arefin said, 'Today, we are not merely launching a new card – we are opening a new chapter in NCC Bank's journey towards digital transformation and innovative banking. In today's competitive market, SMEs, start-ups, importers, and exporters require speed, flexibility, and globally recognised financial services. Our new Visa Business Multicurrency Debit Card addresses those needs.'
He added that customers can now endorse foreign currency under their business quota, in addition to their personal travel quota, creating new opportunities for global expansion and financial independence.
Bangladesh Bank Director Nawshad Mustafa congratulated NCC Bank for introducing a 'progressive solution' that aligns with the central bank's focus on supporting CMSMEs.
Visa Country Manager Sabbir Ahmed said the card reflects NCC Bank's commitment to innovation and its efforts to provide future-ready digital tools for businesses in Bangladesh's evolving economy.
