Shanta Life signs deal with Sunway Medical Centre
Shanta Life Insurance PLC has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Malaysia's Sunway Medical Centre, enabling its policyholders to access healthcare services and exclusive benefits for medical treatment in Malaysia.
The agreement was signed recently at the head office of Shanta Life Insurance PLC in Dhaka.
Chief Executive Officer Nafis A Ahmed of Shanta Life Insurance PLC and International Business Development Manager Kim Wei Yi of Sunway Medical Centre signed the agreement.

Chief Executive Officer Tareq Abdullah of Bangladesh JG Healthcare Ltd and senior officials from the respective organisations were also present.
Under the partnership, Shanta Life Insurance PLC policyholders seeking treatment in Malaysia will be able to access Sunway Medical Centre's exclusive services and discounts through its Bangladeshi representative, JG Healthcare Ltd.
Shanta Life Insurance PLC stated that this marks Sunway Medical Centre's first partnership with a Bangladeshi insurance company.
The company stated that the collaboration demonstrates its commitment to delivering value beyond traditional insurance services.
Shanta Life Insurance PLC also stated it has maintained a 99 per cent claim settlement ratio since its launch, with claims processed within five days.
The company added that its strategic focus is to extend customer service beyond traditional insurance coverage and deliver value across a broader range of customer needs.
