NCC Bank highlights digital security as key to financial literacy
NCC Bank marked Financial Literacy Day with the theme "Initiate safe cashless transactions through financial literacy", aiming to strengthen financial inclusion.
The bank stated that its Financial Inclusion Cell at the head office recently organised a discussion on the bank's strategic action plan regarding financial literacy. The meeting was held on a digital platform, with all branch managers in attendance.
Managing director M Shamsul Arefin, deputy managing director Md Habibur Rahman, senior vice president and head of ICT Md Sajjadul Islam, head of the Financial Inclusion Cell Md Anisur Rahman Majumder, and retail banking unit head S M Tanvir Hasan attended the discussion.
"In the current era, raising awareness of digital capabilities and security, as well as cashless and paperless banking, is one of the most important aspects of financial literacy," Arefin stated.
He instructed branch managers to promote the "NCC Always App" and the "Bangla QR code" to encourage customers to use digital platforms for cashless transactions. He also emphasised the need to raise awareness of the risks and costs associated with cash transactions, and the importance of secure digital transactions.
The managing director stated that the bank will continue to expand customer-friendly digital services.
