National University awards scholarships to children of employees

As part of its ongoing commitment to providing educational support to the children of its employees, National University has awarded scholarships for the 2024-2025 fiscal year.
A total of 230 employees from grades 11 to 20 applied for the scholarship, and 167 of them were successfully awarded scholarships after meeting the necessary criteria.
The scholarship cheques were handed over today, Sunday, 27 July 2025, at 12:00 noon in the Vice-Chancellor's meeting room on the National University campus. Professor Dr ASM Amanullah, Vice-Chancellor of the University, presented the scholarships to the nominated students. Also present at the ceremony were National University Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Md Lutfar Rahman, Treasurer Professor Dr ATM Zafrul Azam, Deans of various faculties, Registrars, and Heads of Departments from various University departments.
This year, 115 students from grades 6 to 10 in four categories received a scholarship of Tk 9,000, 30 students from grades 11 to 12 and equivalent were awarded Tk 12,000, 21 students pursuing degree/bachelor's (honours)/postgraduate/medical/engineering-equivalent studies received Tk 15,000, and one child with special needs was granted Tk 2,000 annually.
In his remarks, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Amanullah stated that the scholarship amount will be increased in the next fiscal year to reflect the rising cost of living.
