Al-Arafah Islami Bank holds investment risk training
Al-Arafah Islami Bank has launched a three-day training course on 'Investment Risk Management' at its training institute, underscoring its commitment to strengthening risk practices across the organisation.
Managing director and chief executive officer Md Rafat Ullah Khan inaugurated the programme as the chief guest on 21 April, according to a press release issued on 23 April.
In his remarks, Md Rafat Ullah Khan highlighted the importance of robust investment risk management to drive sustainable growth, preserve asset quality and enhance financial stability.
He noted that well-planned investment decisions, thorough risk assessment and continuous monitoring can reduce classified investments and reinforce stakeholder confidence.
Md Abdur Rahim Duary, principal and senior executive vice-president, Al-Arafah Islami Bank Training Institute, presided over the event.
Senior assistant vice-president SM Zulker Nayeen, Md Mazharul Alom, and other senior officials attended.
Fifty investment officers participated in the training.
The bank stated that the training will enhance participants' professional skills and further structure its investment activities.
