MTB launches month-long entrepreneurship training in Jashore
Mutual Trust Bank (MTB) PLC has launched a month-long entrepreneurship development programme in Jashore, in collaboration with the SME and Special Programmes Department (SMESPD) of Bangladesh Bank.
A total of 25 entrepreneurs have registered for this ADB-funded and Ministry of Finance-implemented initiative under the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (SICIP).
The programme aims to enhance entrepreneurial competencies and help participants become eligible for formal sector financing and financial services to expand their businesses.

Husne Ara Shikha, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank, attended the inauguration as chief guest and highlighted the importance of the initiative. Abdul Mannan, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Branch Banking Division of MTB PLC, and Mohammad Wasim, Deputy Project Director of SICIP and Joint Director of Bangladesh Bank, were present as special guests.
Sanjib Kumar Dey, Head of SME and Agri Banking Division of MTB PLC, presided over the event and thanked stakeholders for their support in arranging the timely programme.
