MTB Foundation inaugurates MTB UCEP Skills Training Institute (MUSTI)
To commemorate the anniversary of Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB), MTB Foundation, in partnership with UCEP Bangladesh, has inaugurated the MTB UCEP Skills Training Institute (MUSTI), a flagship project under the Foundation's 'Education' sector initiative.
Project MUSTI will provide training in five specialised trades to 1,200 underprivileged youths over a three-year period. The initiative aims to equip young individuals with industry-relevant skills to enhance employability and drive inclusive growth, thereby transforming lives by turning potential into productivity.
The inauguration ceremony took place on Saturday at the Spandan Training Facilitation Centre in Maskanda, Mymensingh, in the presence of distinguished board members, senior management representatives from both organisations, community leaders, and trainees.
Rashed Ahmed Chowdhury, Chairman of MTB, formally inaugurated the institute. The event was also attended by A Matin Chowdhury, Former Chairperson; Dr Md Abdul Karim, Executive Director; and Engr Mohd Abdul Mannan from UCEP Bangladesh. Senior officials from MTB, including Syed Mahbubur Rahman, Managing Director and CEO; Chowdhury Akhtar Asif, Additional Managing Director; Rais Uddin Ahmad, Deputy Managing Director; and Samia Chowdhury, Chief Executive Officer, MTB Foundation, were also present.
Through this initiative, MTB Foundation seeks to reaffirm its commitment to empowering youth and contributing to Bangladesh's sustainable socio-economic development by positioning MTB not only as a financial institution but also as a trusted community partner.
