MTB Foundation distributes livelihood support in Chandpur
MTB Foundation has distributed livelihood assets to vulnerable fishing communities in Chandpur, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable community development.
Support was extended to households in Lalpur union and Chandpur municipality.
Under the programme, MTB Foundation provided materials for poultry farming, homestead gardening, and small businesses.
Income-generating activities will be led by female members of fishing families, enabling year-round income, particularly during fishing ban periods.
Samia Chowdhury, chief executive officer, and Nazmus Sakib, associate, MTB Foundation, attended the event, underscoring the Foundation's dedication to supporting these communities through direct engagement.
Through this initiative, the foundation aims not only to support vulnerable fishing households with alternative livelihood opportunities but also to foster lasting economic resilience, empowering communities for a more sustainable future.
