MTB Foundation marks menstrual hygiene day to support schoolgirls
MTB Foundation, in partnership with Abinta Kabir Foundation School, observed World Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026 by distributing nutrition packs among underprivileged female students of the school.
The initiative was held in line with this year's theme, "Together for a #PeriodFriendlyWorld", and reflected MTB Foundation's continued commitment to supporting adolescent girls by addressing their menstrual health needs and upholding their dignity.
MTB Foundation said that improved awareness, access to menstrual products, period-friendly sanitation, and basic nutrition support can help girls manage their health and well-being during menstruation and ensure regular school attendance.
The initiative also reflects the MTB Foundation's objective of supporting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3, 4, and 10, focusing on good health and well-being, quality education, and reduced inequalities.
The nutrition packs were handed over by Samia Chowdhury, Chief Executive Officer, MTB Foundation, to Maliha Ahsan, Education Program Manager, Abinta Kabir Foundation School.
Farkhunda Ahmed, Assistant Manager at Abinta Kabir Foundation, along with other officials, was also present at the event.
