MR D.I.Y. wins World Branding Award for 8th straight year
MR D.I.Y. Group has secured its eighth consecutive win at the World Branding Awards (WBA), being named the "Top Home Improvement Retail Brand" in the Regional category at the 20th edition of the ceremony organised by the World Branding Forum.
The brand's winning streak began with three National Awards from 2018 to 2020, followed by five Regional Awards from 2021 to 2025, underscoring its expanding global footprint and growing consumer trust.
Welcoming the recognition, MR D.I.Y. Bangladesh Marketing Manager Md Rahat Nabi said the award reaffirms the company's commitment to delivering meaningful, value-driven customer experiences.
"Being recognised for the eighth consecutive year is an incredible honour. It shows that value is not just about price – it is about creating experiences that matter. This award belongs to our people and our customers," he said.
Founded in 2005 as a small hardware store in Malaysia, MR D.I.Y. now operates more than 5,000 outlets across multiple retail formats – MR D.I.Y., MR TOY and MR DOLLAR – spanning Malaysia, Thailand, Brunei, Indonesia, Singapore, the Philippines, Cambodia, India, Turkey, Spain, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Poland and South Africa.
The World Branding Awards honour brands across global, regional and national tiers. For the 2025-26 edition, 1,092 brands from 66 countries were nominated. Winners were selected through brand valuation, consumer market research and public online voting. This year's awards ceremony was held at the Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts in Japan.
